Still here and loving it

Well, I am still here doing the Blog thing. I expected I would be able to write on Sunday's since that is normally my lease busiest day, but it was quite busy so I didn't get to do so.

I have been working with the missionaries quite a bit lately. It has been great. We really enjoy them and their great spirit as they teach the gospel to friends and as they serve others.

I was able to speak in Sacrament meeting in the Meadows Ward on Sunday. It was a short talk and I ended up cutting a bit out, but I sure felt the Holy Ghost strong there. What a great Ward. The Young Women sang a beautiful song. What great voices.

A good friend, Bill Bouck passed away on Sunday. He was quite a guy. His wife, Valarie, is a very nice lady also. We did not know her as well as Bill. He will be sorely missed. He was in the middle of really enjoying his new life. His funeral is on Friday.

Family Bliss

My son Matthew went to the Portland Oregon Temple yesterday and made a promise to give all he has to help Heavenly Father. It was a great day. Matt flew up from BYU over the weekend to be with the family. Jenny and her fiancee Matt White also flew up and were there with us. My Father and Mother were there along with other family and friends.

What a wonderful day.

Today was also a memorable day for me. I am asked to serve in many ways and I am hopeful I will always be available and listening when I am asked to serve.

I don't mind being this old. I am enjoying it, for the most part.

Two days in a row

Yes, I am making this official. This is my second day to post.

I spoke for a bit over 10 minutes last night regarding using the internet as a form of sharing the gospel. I was grateful for the opportunity. I knew I could share information for two days in a row, but it is the future I worry about. I am working on a plan to possibly do this weekly on the sabbath, if not more often. We will see how it goes...

I do know that the world is full of wonderful people who are truly blessed. I looked around at the "397 people" who were in attendance at our Stake Conference last night and we are fortunate to have the gospel in our lives and to live in Vancouver, Washington and live a very good life. I also felt even a stronger desire to do a better job of sharing what I have been given.
